A few weeks back we went on a camping trip (see picks here). We missed Sundays’ message preached by Drew, an elder at our Church. What a great message…
Please take the time and listen to the whole message here.
Christians should regard hospitality to strangers as an expression of the gospel. This sermon examines how and why we should show hospitality to others. It is a call to our community to open our lives and make room for people different than us. The New Testament portrays Jesus as a gracious host, welcoming children and prostitutes, tax collectors and sinners in his presence. History reveals the importance of hospitality to the spread and credibility of the gospel. If we seek to not just build a church, but change a city, this is one aspect that needs to be in place.
